Company History
Pillar Roofing & Construction was established by me, Steve Monahan. My background involves some interesting careers which brought me to finally starting my own company. Early on I worked my way up in the service industry and learned what impeccable service is and how to give it. Next I worked in the engineering industry for 12 years. I learned the skills needed and just got tired of being inside all day.
After that I started working for a company in the construction industry as a Project Manager, I had a lot of my customers tell me how unhappy they were with most of the contractors because of there overall lack of customer service. The service I was providing to my clients was making a difference, I knew that I could provide what the customers wanted and decided to start my very own construction company with great customer service, “right after talking to my boss” (the wife). Well, A few months later we started our own family owned & operated construction company in April of 2004 Pillar Roofing & Construction was established. Still going strong!

New clients are paired with their own Pillar Project Manager who works with them through the whole process from start to finish.
- Your PPM will gather the information needed regarding your particular project, from the initial inspection, estimating, material choices, scheduling, staging, safety precautions, installation, and through to the final inspection and Invoicing.
- Your PPM has a vast team behind him that can complete project fast, on budget and most importantly on time.
- Your PPM knows how important communication skills and punctuality is in giving excellent customer service.
- Your PPM goal is to answer his phone, return calls immediately, and keep the clients informed throughout the process.

Before joining RCAT we became members of the local North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NRTCA) for approx. 8 Yrs. Now. Of course being an accredited business with the Dallas BBB early on also helped a great deal to add credibility to our company. Our RCAT Commercial license requires testing and continued education each year, so the flat roofing clients we have sleep-easy knowing their project was completed by the book and on time. Whether you have an old tar and gravel roof and want a TPO roof or you’ve just got a leak our team is equipped with the tools, our moisture detecting camera can find the problem areas fast. Most commercial flat roof replacements require R25 insulation (4.25 inches) to be installed under the final top covering this is per cities building codes now for higher energy efficiency.
